Set Up Google Classroom: Class Codes

  • Seating Request and Student Class ID number. Student Class ID and seating chart are done in numerical order. Same as computer number for computer lab.

Usernames and passwords:

Username = your computer login information

  • Example: VET1234
  • Your login is normally the first 3 or 4 letters of your last name followed by a sequence of numbers. When creating your username for sites used in this class, always use your login for all our systems so you do not forget these

Passwords: for all accounts use the same password so you will not forget it. Alos, the instructor can than assist you. When creating your password, you must do the following:

  • Your lunch code, followed by your fiirst middle and last name inititials with your first initial capitalized. This is then followed by an asterick.
  • Example: My name is Cassie M Vetter and my lunch code is 12345
  • by using this same password for all our sites you will never forget it.

Record your Career Choice Using PowerPoint

Step 1  Open your presentation and check the slide transition settings and then check

Step 2  Select the Slide Show tab, Select the Record Slide Show. Select From the Beggining

Step 2 Record for 7 - 10 minutes

Step 3  You need to save and export your recording to create the video file. Go to File, Export and choose Video or MP4 as your format. Note, it may take a few minutes to create your video.

Step 4 Upload your video file direct to google classroom as an attachment. When completed, mark the assignment as Turned in.

- Worked together as a class to learn the basic functions in google sheets of adding, subtracting, dividing, an multipication. Open the google sheets practice assignment located on Google Classroom and learned this process.

Google Sheets Tips::

Adding, subtracting, multipication, or division:
= Cell name + Cell name
= cell name * cell name
= cell name / cell name
= cell name - cell name

All formulas begin with an equal sign and no spaces between.
Example: =A12+A13

Adding Several Fields at once::
-enter the equal sign, followed by a parenthesis, first cell name, followed by a colon, then last cell name followed by a parenthesis. See example: This will add all up for you.

=sum(A12:A20)

Update your budgert to show if you are meeting the goals of the 50/30/20 plan. Add totals spend on needs. Is it greater or less than 50%? Do the same for each. You should set this up as a formua in your sheets so as you make more money you can adust this.
